To wife Ruth Barwise all freehold messuage and tenement at Broomhill parish of Bromfield now in tenure and occupation of Joseph Saul as Farmer. She to have power to sell in order to raise money for legacies. Wife Ruth Barwise to be executrix. To eldest daughter Ruth Barwise and to youngest son Thomas Barwise £90 each to be paid when 21. My eldest son Ostle Barwise in consideration of being admitted tenant of my Copyhold estate of Nook by his bond dated 7 May, 1789 became bound to me for payment of £400 twelve months after my death. Of this £100 each to my youngest children Jane Barwise, Jeremiah Barwise, Ruth Barwise and Thomas Barwise. My late father John Barwise deposited £300 for maintenance of my sister Jane Barwise. Of this £100 is in the hands of Jonathan Ritson of Hayrigg, Holme Cultram, £100 in hands of Richard Barnes of Dryholme and £100 under bond to Osmotherley Barwise dated 25 Feb., 1769. My share in this trust to be executed by my executrix.
